National Constitution Day observed in Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, Kolkata

Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata observed the National Constitution Day – 2022 in the evening of 04 November 2022 in the Bangladesh Gallery of the Deputy High Commission. The program of the day included laying floral wreath at the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reading out messages from the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh and discussion session. In his remarks, H.E. the Deputy High Commissioner paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation for his key role in formulating one of the finest constitutions in the world. Terming our sacred constitution as synonymous to Bangabandhu’s dream of Sonar Bangla he described it as the manual for achieving this glory. Despite a number of hurdles in its journey, the sanctity of the constitution was restored under the dynamic leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, he added. He enlightened the audience that it was Bangabandhu himself who guided the constitution drafting committee for incorporating modern day welfare state components which are its leading characteristics. He urged all Members of the Mission to uphold the sanctity of our sacred constitution and strive at all times to serve the people.
