The Deputy High Commissioner for Bangladesh in Kolkata along with Mr. Hermanprit Singh (IPS), Director General of Police, Coastal Security flagged off a campaign to walk from Kolkata to Dhaka undertaken by Ms. Gita Balakrishnan, a prominent Indian Architect on 22nd October 2022 at the Mission premises of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, Kolkata. The objective of this walk campaign would be to reinforce the need for greater collaboration between architects across borders to make collective larger impact and to forge unity through design. Deputy High Commissioner for Bangladesh in Kolkata said that the walk starting from the historic building of the first Bangladesh Diplomatic Mission abroad and completion at the Bangladesh Parliament building, a modern architectural wonder will bring closer the architects of the two countries and infuse a greater sense of unity and bonding among the peoples. Architects, designers, students, fitness enthusiasts were invited at this flagging off program.
